Meditation
Integrated meditation is a practice of learning to become grounded and centered in your body. This inner work can help you to create the life most fulfilling to you as an individual. Integrated meditation brings you as spirit into your body, so that you can connect with yourself, allows yourself to be present in your own life and be in communication with who you really are.
While we can’t answer the question directly we can say that 1000s of students have taken our classes and felt the benefits. Do you want to feel more comfortable in your own skin? Do you want to explore your own boundaries and seek deeper understanding of yourself? Do you just want to breathe a little easier in your own life? Then perhaps it’s worth a try.
Regardless of what your daily life looks like, one thing is constant, your body and spirit are there with you. Being grounded and centered allows you to own the life you lead, be fully present with your family or relationship, or take on a challenge without feeling overwhelmed or wishing you were somewhere else. When you are secure in your own body it makes everything you do in life a little easier.
You are taught meditation and healing tools to recognize yourself as spirit in your body right now, in present time. You can say “hello” to yourself on a regular basis. This allows you to be in your own life experience every day and be in communication with who you really are.
Your goal might be to let go of self-criticism or judgment, consciously set your intention for the day, become aware of what you are attracting into your life and why, let go of stress and worry, and many other possibilities. This is your meditation practice, so your goal is yours. You can set your own intention.
Sit upright in a comfortable chair with both feet flat on the floor. Rest your hands gently on each thigh, do not cross your legs. The length of time meditating is less important than the consistency of the practice. Try setting a timer for 5 or 10 minutes and you’ll be surprised how fast time flies. Don’t forget to close your eyes!
Mind wandering is a great insight that you have a lot going on in your life. Recognize that and use meditation as an exercise to bring your attention back to you. It's like going to the gym, your attention muscles get stronger.

The classes typically range from 4-20 students and there is a shared experience that happens when you meditate with a group. Many of the students become lifelong friends staying in contact long after the classes end. There are also church services, drop-in choir sessions, one-on-one student work and fund raising dinners.
Yes! Not only are they cool but they come from all walks of life. The common theme with all of them is that most are looking at connecting themselves with the present. They are there to gain insight about who they are, why they are, and where are they going. The vast experiences people draw on are as wide as can be imagined.
We are actively creating our own future and changing it with every present moment. We don’t predict the future as we create our future through our actions in the present. You can be present every step of the way and the inner work you do on yourself will create ripple effect with everyone you come into contact with.
We believe we are actively creating our own future and actively changing it with every present moment we live. We don't believe in future predictions so to know where we are going is uncertain. We do believe you can be present every step of the way and the inner work you do on yourself will create ripple effects with everyone you come in contact with.
If you are not satisfied with the teaching you have received or need to drop out due to illness travel or some other reason, we will offer a refund for the weeks you have not taken.

There is no dogmatic religious basis for the meditation. In fact, you can use the techniques from classes in all beliefs. The classes are taught recognizing you as spirit inhabit a body on the planet. Your experiences are unique to you.

The teaching method was created by Rev. Laura Hopper. Through her own meditation practice she developed the coursework. There are similarities to eastern and western styles. Classes are taught by a certified instructor in a classroom setting. Students are asked to sit upright in a chair with hands and feet apart and eyes closed.
The free introductory class happens every Tuesday and lasts one hour. Most other classes meet one day per week for seven weeks and are two hours long. Students can attend additional classes during the week if they want.
One of the best ways to quiet your monkey mind (also known as your analyzer), is to practice being in the center of your head. The center of your head is a place where you can be in communication with yourself outside of the busy-ness that surrounds you. Physically it is near the pineal gland and behind your eyes about an inch or so. We believe from this place you can get your information and observe what is happening with you.
We can't say for sure that it will be different. The practice is dependent on you showing up and doing the work. 1000s of students have tried this practice and have found value. We do have a dedicated staff that is passionate about the practice and willing to help as best they can. We believe there is value in just showing up and trying.
The tools we teach are designed to benefit your life immediately. They are simple and effective to use, although meditation is an acquired skill and does require practice.
The benefits of this style of meditation are the immediate results, getting to know yourself a little more deeply, being conscious. They are simple and effective. You can take a class one night and the next day feel better, or have more clarity, or get to know yourself a little deeper. There are no special props and no dogma.
Most people can get some benefit from mediation. The simplest benefit is that it feels better than not meditating. Some benefits have been proven through Harvard and Stanford studies showing stress relief, increased concentration, and mental alertness. Other benefits include feeling grounded and present in your daily life, calmness of mind, improved relationships with self and others, and body healing.
